People usually think that a simple exercise must not be effective. We’ve all heard of the expression ‘no pain, no gain’. While that is true to a certain extent, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t exercises that are simple to figure out and easy to execute. Exercises work because they put continuous and repetitive use on a specific and targeted group of muscles. Overtime and with proper nutrition, these muscles grow. While these simple exercises are not the hardest, they do provide a good use of muscle groups, specifically around the stomach.

So what is your approach to exercising? Do you lie down and set your mind, focus, then just do as many repetitions as you can? If this is what you do, then I would advise to stop! Let’s say that at one time you can do 100 situps. Is that really the best you can do? It is certainly the best way to wear yourself out, but is it the most effective use of your time?
You should do each exercise in terms of Sets and Reps instead of just trying to do as many as you can at once. By splitting it up into say, 4 sets with 40 reps in each, you will be able to many more than you would’ve if you had just tried to do them all at once. Also, by resting for a minute in-between sets, you are actually allowing your body time to absorb the exercise that you just did. It is a far better system that allows you to do more of the exercise with better results.
So don’t think that you just need to hit a high number of repetitions jsut to say that you can do it. By scaling back the reps and breaking them into sets, but you will be able to go farther and get more in return.

Here is something that you need to do throughout your exercise routine. You should drink plenty of water while exercising. You get dehydrated as you start moving and sweating. By drinking water and staying hydrated, you will improve your exercise stamina and will improve your results and help you to go longer without cramping up.
Don’t try to just get lighter on the scale by sweating the weight out. Having less water in your system may make you seem lighter, but it won’t make you look slimmer, and it definitley won’t make you any healthier. Dehydration is no joke. It’s effects can include cramping, dizziness, feeling faint, and much worse.
So keep in mind to drink plenty of water after every exercise that you perform. Not just before or after the entire routine, but throughout the entire thing. This will help you to stay fresh and alery and help to improve your results.

As you go through your exercise routine, you will continuously be contracting and relaxing your muscles. As you do this, you will be compelled to hold your breath while doing it. You may not even realize that you are doing it, but it is likely that you are. When your muscles have continuous tension put on them, you have the tendency to not breathe.
But breathing correctly while exercising is a very important part of the exercises. If you breathe correctly you will be able to do more repetitions of the exercise without getting tired as easy, and it will also help give you better results because your muscles will be in sync and not fighting against one another. To do an exercise properly, you need to go through the complete motion, and breathing is a part of that. And focusing on your breathing can also be a big help to take your mind off any muscle strain and help you to concentrate on the full exercise motion.
What is the correct way to breathe while exercising? The correct way is to breathe continuously throughout the exercise, without stopping, and to continue the process of inhaling when your muscles relax and exhaling when they contract. At first you will have to think about doing this but soon enough it will be second nature to you and you will have much improved results.
